LATAM Airlines Group reports preliminary monthly statistics for May 2020

 

Santiago, Chile, June 9, 2020– LATAM Airlines Group S.A. and its subsidiaries, (“LATAM Airlines Group” or “the Company”) (IPSA: LTM) today reported its preliminary monthly traffic statistics for May 2020 compared with the same period of 2019.

 

System passenger traffic (measured in revenue passenger kilometers (RPK)) decreased 96.5%, while capacity fell 93.3%. As a result, the Company’s load factor for the month decreased 39.8 percentage points to 43.8%. International passenger traffic accounted for approximately 36% of the month’s total passenger traffic.

 

The following table summarizes traffic figures for the month and includes a year-to-date breakdown for LATAM’s main business units.
