Santiago, December 28, 2016 - LATAM Airlines Group SA ("LATAM"), the leading airline in Latin America, and the world-class airline Qatar Airways, both members of the one worldalliance, announce that Qatar Airways, through its subsidiary Qatar Airways Investments (UK) Ltd. ("Qatar"), completed the acquisition of 60,837,452 shares, which represent 10% of the total shares of LATAM.

The preferential option period for 61,316,424 new shares, at a price of US $ 10 per share, ended on December 23, 2016, during which Qatar subscribed LATAM shares as assignee of the subscription rights assigned by the shareholders of the Cueto, Amaro, Eblen and Bethia Group as agreed between LATAM and Qatar, while other minority shareholders subscribed 12,140 shares of LATAM.

Subsequently, on December 28, 2016, Qatar subscribed 30,349,907 shares not subscribed by the shareholders during the period of preference rights.
